Concentrations of Sediment Transport in Badung Strait by Hydrodynamic Model
Gede Yasada, I Ketut Sutapa and Made Sudiarsa
Abstract
Tidal current can identify the current movement that come generally (1 January 2020 – 9 February
2020) with generate force wind and tides data. Hydrodynamic simulation gave result of current speed 0.30 m/sec
until 0.87 m/sec in low tides condition, and 0.73 m/sec until 1.05 m/s in high tides condition. Current speed
maximum is founded in the river estuary area and the minimum is in Badung Strait. Current speed in lower
condition is smaller than high tides. With Sediment Model Transport simulation can identify position of sediment
distribution in Badung Strait. A lot of Sediment residing in Gunaksa Coastal and it move to south part of Sanur Area
(in this area deposition of sediment is happened).Data of current model and sediment transport model can use by
the government as an input data to press the influences of coastal erosion.
