Abstract

A construction project is the planning, control and coordination of a project from the beginning to the end of the project to ensure the implementation of the project in a timely manner, at the right cost and in the right quality with a relatively short period of time. The many things that must be considered in a project activity often bring about several problems ranging from small problems to big problems depending on where the problem originates. in this paper discusses the problems that occur in the scheduling of a construction project. Scheduling is one of the things that must be considered in project work because the schedule must be in accordance with the initial wishes of the employer (owner) to the working party (contractor). However, in the field work, things often happen that can delay the scheduled time and result in delays in construction projects. To help deal with delays, there are several methods that can be done, one of which is by using the Crash Program when the scheduling time is made. With this method, it can help find some work that can be done quickly by taking several actions such as increasing working hours or adding labor by paying attention to the additional costs incurred. Method was carried out by the Crash Program by adding 1 hour of working hours to jobs that were on the critical path. In determining the critical path and the relationship between work items the author uses Microsoft Project and to calculate costs using the help of Microsoft Excel. The final result of this paper is to determine the time that can cover the delay after the acceleration and how much the additional cost after the acceleration is carried out.
