Abstract

According to requests for additional power from special customers and handling overloads on the electricity distribution system to maintain the stability and quality of electrical energy supply. This research aims to analyze the installation of an insert transformer as a method to overcome the overload problem at the MA0056 distribution substation. The distribution substation MA0056 Belayu Feeder experiences an overload with an average percentage of 92.97% exceeding the health index load of the transformer, if left unchecked it will have an impact on the reliability of the electricity supply, so carrying out additional power using the method of adding an inserted substation is one solution. After adding the MA0071 substation with a capacity of 250000 VA, the initial percentage of the MA0056 distribution substation was 92.97%, dropping to 60.6% and was able to serve the load optimally until 2042 with a loading percentage of 79.3% and efficiency. of 98.71% and the MA0071 substation which is 11 meters from the MA0056 distribution substation has a loading percentage of 34.3% and is capable of serving loads until 2064 with a loading percentage of 79.6% and an efficiency of 98.54%
