Abstract
Cost control is a crucial aspect of project management. Inadequate cost control often leads to significant discrepancies between the planned and actual construction costs of a project. The application of the Earned Value Concept (EVC) method for cost analysis requires various data, including implementation schedules and S-curves, work volume for each task, percentage weight of work, weekly reports and monthly project reports (financial data). The data analysis stages for each task include determining the Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), and Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP). Variance analysis and performance indices from the Earned Value Concept method consist of Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI). The final analysis using the Earned Value Concept method reveals that the project cost performance index (CPI) is 1.01 as of week 15, indicating that the project is more cost-efficient than planned. However, the schedule performance index (SPI) is 0.70, indicating that the project is progressing slower than planned. The estimated cost at completion (BEAC) is Rp 32,437,442,076, while the budget at completion (BAC) is Rp 32,622,945,816, resulting in a projected cost savings of Rp 185,503,740 if the CPI remains at 1.01. The estimated time at completion (BEAC) is 72 weeks, compared to scheduled 55 weeks, indicating project will delay 17 weeks if the SPI remains at 0.70. These findings pertain to the cost and schedule performance of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Selatan Toll Road Project. Keywords: Earned Value Concept, BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SV
