Abstract

Many countries are interested in developing the tourism industry such as applying the concept of green hotels to tackle climate change. This research is important to encourage the hotel industry to increase understanding of climate change adaptation by helping to create an environment that is environmentally friendly and not concerned with profit but cares about preserving the environment and the surrounding community. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Green Hotel at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa. This type of research is a case study research conducted in March – July 2022. The data collection techniques used in this study used questionnaires and interviews referring to the Guidebook and Guidelines for the Implementation of Green Hotels in Indonesia published by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in 2016 The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that the application of green hotels by 91.03% at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa has been carried out in accordance with the Guidelines and Guidelines for the Implementation of Green Hotels in Indonesia. Aspects whose implementation is in accordance with the guidelines are aspects of land use, aspects of energy efficiency, aspects of water conservation, aspects of environmental management, and aspects of operational management. Aspects that are implemented in accordance with the aspects of energy efficiency. Keywords: Green Hotel, sustainability, green environment
