Abstract

Most of inhabitant in Banjar Galiukir Kaja, Kebonpadang Village, Pupuan Sub district, Tabanan Regency, Province of Bali work for agriculture sectors. The main agriculture products including coffee, cocoa, clove, coconut, and some local fruits such as durian, mangosteen, etc. Mangosteen becomes one of popular and also has well economic value in recent years. However, some problem still occurs in post-harvest processes that can cause decrease price when peak season. Although prices fall, farmers will still sell their product because mangosteen can not be stored for long time without cooling. The quality and store life time can be maintained by a new procedure. The procedure introduce covering, firstly the fruit is packing with adding Nitrogen on the packaging. This nitrogen will remove oxygen in the packs of mangosteen fruit, nitrogen is also not poison the mangosteen fruit. The oxidation process will be avoided when lack of oxygen inside the package. After packing process, the mangosteen fruit is stored in a medium temperature storage. By treating these two processes on the mangosteen fruit hopefully can improve the quality and automatically price can be maintain in reasonable price and becomes good additional value for farmers. On line marketing was also assisted for export markets, so they can do by themselves how to use the on line social media for cheap and easily marketing.
