Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the electricity production cost and economic feasibility of a 13.200 Wp On-Grid Rooftop Solar Power System (PLTS) planned for the PT PLN (Persero) ULP Atambua office. The Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) analysis was conducted by dividing the total Life Cycle Cost (LCC) by the total energy output over the project’s lifetime. The calculation results show that the LCOE of this PLTS system is at a competitive value compared to conventional electricity tariffs, amounting to Rp 689.58/kWh, reflecting the cost efficiency of energy production from the proposed system. The economic feasibility of the project was assessed using the Life Cycle Cost approach along with four main financial indicators: Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Profitability Index (PI), and Discounted Payback Period (DPP). The evaluation results indicate that the project is financially feasible, with an NPV of Rp. 222.054.811,22, an IRR of 11.7%, which is higher than the Minimum Attractive Rate of Return (MARR) of 6%, and a PI of 2,03. The DPP is reached in the 13th year of the project’s 25-year lifespan, and the Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) is also 2,03, further strengthening the conclusion that this investment is profitable. In terms of savings, the PLTS system achieves an annual cost efficiency of Rp. 37.947.174,00, or approximately 70% of the total electricity bill prior to PLTS implementation. These findings confirm that the PLTS system provides real economic and technical benefits in supporting energy sustainability at the PLN ULP Atambua office.
