Abstract

This final project has purpose are to describe the Counter and A’la Carte Breakfast Service by Waiter/ss at Provisions Kitchen and Cocktails in Sheraton Valley Forge King of Prussia and explain the obstacles faced during service and the solutions. This final project was compiled using 3 methods, namely observation, interviews, and literature review. Method of data analysis and presentation result used for this final project is descriptive qualitative that is explained or described information that writer got from interview, observation, and reading. There are several stages that need to be done in providing breakfast service, as follows: Preparation Stage, Implementation Stage, and Closing Stage. One of the obstacles faced by waiter/ss includes errors in entering orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system, but this can be overcome by the waiter/ss immediately communicating to the kitchen regarding the order input error, accompanied by a note of the correct order correction. The results of this final project provide an overview of combined counter and a'la carte breakfast services and can be a reference for improving the quality of breakfast services in the hotel industry.
