Abstract
LPD is one of the microfinance institutions in Bali Province located in a traditional village. Credit provision is the main business of LPD, and in providing credit, the management (administrators or managers) must apply the principle of prudence to minimize bad debt. The percentage of non-performing loans at LPD Desa Adat Tandeg still exists. Non-performing loans do not occur spontaneously but through a process. This situation poses a challenge for LPD managers to restore the financial health of LPD so that it can anticipate the occurrence of problematic loans. This study aims to identify the system and procedures for granting loans at LPD Desa Adat Tandeg. This study was designed as a qualitative research. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the credit granting system and procedures at the Tandeg Traditional Village LPD were considered good and adequate using the 5C analysis, namely Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy. The procedure for resolving problematic loans at the LPD of the Traditional Village of Tandeg involves direct notification using various communication channels, issuing warning letters SP 1, SP 2, and SP 3, and for residents of the traditional village, bringing the problematic loan case to the traditional village council and enforcing collateral. For non-traditional village residents, collateral is immediately seized. Although the research findings indicate that the credit granting procedure has been implemented effectively and adequately, the LPD is encouraged to maintain and improve the quality of its credit management.
