Abstract

The recruitment and selection of employees are critical processes for ensuring that organizations acquire optimal human resources to fill key positions. In the digital era, many companies have adopted more efficient recruitment systems, including the use of technology such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). This study aims to analyze the recruitment and selection process at PT Tunas Jaya Sanur, a company engaged in the construction sector. Specifically, it examines how the recruitment process is implemented, how employee selection is carried out, and what obstacles emerge during these processes. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation and interviews with employees who possess relevant knowledge of the company’s recruitment practices. The findings indicate that the company has adopted structured recruitment and selection processes that align with the demands of the construction industry, yet several challenges remain. Key obstacles include limited applicant pools with specialized skills, delays in screening, and inconsistent application of selection criteria. Efforts undertaken by the company to address these issues include strengthening collaboration with vocational institutions, implementing clearer job descriptions, and enhancing the role of digital tools. These measures are expected to improve recruitment outcomes and the overall quality of human resources in the construction sector.
