Abstract

Swimming pools are public facilities that provide services for swimming, recreation, and various other services using clean water that has been treated according to the standards stipulated in the Minister of Health Regulation Number 416/Menkes/PerIX/1990. However, the quality of swimming pool water is highly dependent on weather conditions, maintenance provided, and the swimming pool pump control system is generally still conventional. This study developed a swimming pool pump control system and water quality monitoring using IoT (Internet of Things) technology that can be monitored via smartphone. This tool uses Smart Relay Zelio as the brain of the pump control system equipped with contactor control components, TOR (Thermal Overload Relay), timer, pushbutton and relay module. Monitoring the condition of the pump with PZEM-004T, and monitoring the water quality in the swimming pool using pH and TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) sensors. The results of the study showed a high level of accuracy in all aspects studied with an accuracy of pH sensor readings in swimming pool water of 98.31%. The TDS sensor accuracy in swimming pool water was 97.3%, and the PZEM- 004T was highly accurate in the study. Therefore, the implementation of this automation system is expected to improve efficiency in controlling pumps and monitoring overall pool water quality.
