Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of work discipline and the imposition of penalties to maintain employee morale at Amnaya Resort Kuta. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews with seven informants, consisting of one managerial staff member and six operational employees. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that work discipline at Amnaya Resort Kuta is implemented in accordance with established procedures and is based on a communicative coaching approach, where violations are discussed openly to seek mutual solutions. Sanctions for tardiness are applied progressively, fairly, and consistently, which helps foster a sense of responsibility among employees. Despite occasional lateness, the enforcement of discipline and appropriate sanctions has been effective in sustaining employee work spirit. This study highlights the importance of balanced disciplinary measures that combine firmness with communication, as well as the role of sanctions in reinforcing positive work behavior.
