Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology enables remote control and monitoring of devices via the internet. This research aims to design and implement an IoT-based automatic water filling system using the Blynk application as a monitoring and control tool. This system consists of a water pump, a flowmeter sensor, and an ESP32 microcontroller, integrated to calculate the volume of water flow and control the filling process according to a predetermined set point. Testing was conducted to determine system performance in three aspects: the physical implementation of the device, the implementation of the Blynk application, and the effect of time and water level on filling volume. Testing results showed that the device was successfully implemented according to design and functioned well. The Blynk application was able to display real-time water level data, pump status, and water volume, control the pump manually or automatically, and provide user convenience through a simple interface. Furthermore, testing showed that the greater the volume of water flowed, the longer the filling time and the lower the water level in the source reservoir. Overall, the IoT-based automatic water filling system with Blynk can effectively monitor and control water volume according to needs with 90.74% accuracy. This system can be implemented as an efficient water management solution in various household and industrial applications.
