Abstract

The Information System for E-Commerce and Service Management is specifically designed for Rudy Komputer, a business engaged in the sales of computer products and repair services. The main background problem of this project lies in the lack of efficiency and structure in handling sales transactions and service management, which have so far been conducted conventionally, resulting in time-consuming processes. The primary objective of this research is to design and develop a web-based information system capable of managing all aspects of product sales transactions and service operations for Rudy Komputer in an integrated, efficient, and modern manner. With this system, business processes are expected to become more structured and transparent. The project implementation is supported by various modern technologies. Interface design is carried out using Figma, while the frontend is developed with HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript (with TypeScript). Next.js is chosen as the framework for performance optimization. On the backend, Node.js handles business logic, supported by PostgreSQL as the primary database and Supabase for database management, authentication, and API services. The development process follows the Waterfall Model, with system design utilizing EERD and UML (use case, activity, class, and sequence diagrams). System functionality is validated through Black Box Testing. The result of the project is an e-commerce system that facilitates product sales with a structured catalog and a simple ordering process, as well as a service feature that enables request submissions and real-time status tracking. This system improves operational efficiency, expands market reach, and strengthens Rudy Komputer’s image as a modern IT service provider.
